Life Moves recently opened a LGBTQ+ homeless shelter in downtown San Jose, the second of its kind in the nation. This is a program funded by the County of Santa Clara and was advocated for by Supervisor Cindy Chavez and former Supervisor and BCF Executive Director Ken Yeager.
We hope you will take a moment to watch the short video below about the shelter by Santa Clara County Newsbeat. You’ll hear from staff and clients about the remarkable services they provide, as well as provide you any information you need about the shelter.
One of Ken Yeager's main goals is to make sure the LGBTQ programs he helped launch as an elected official continue to receive necessary funding and support, such as the LGBTQ+ shelter. If you would like to support this and other local LGBTQ causes, please consider making a donation to the Foundation.
